Before he stood
beside other families,
he was one of them.
Yifei says his American story began when he was six. His parents came from China looking for a future for their children. Their immigration case was denied after their lawyer missed an important deadline.
Years later, after becoming an attorney, Yifei helped his parents obtain the green cards that once seemed out of reach. The connection between his origin and his work does not need embellishment. It is already there.
